On Monday night I went to see Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band. Wow, he looks amazing for 72, and so full of energy and love. It really came across how much he loves life. The night was all about love and peace and having a good time. Not the world’s best vocalist but an incredibly talented musician and a true star.
I had a wonderful opportunity on the weekend to stay with an old school friend down at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast. She has an apartment just across from the beach; cool sea breezes and being lulled to sleep by the sound of waves on the shore. Heaven!
It is like a sauna here today after all the rain. Unlike many people, including family and friends, we are very fortunate to still have dry feet. I sometimes rue the steepness of our hill but at times like this I am very grateful that we live near the top of a hill.
We were lucky to get back from a camping trip the day before cyclone Oswald crossed the coast bringing massive amounts of rain and consequently floods in its wake. The area where we were camped is now underwater.
We did need the rain though; it was very dry. But my thoughts are with those less fortunate who did not escape the effects of the deluge.
Well I finally seem to have my website up and running. I hope I have this blog working. I guess we’ll see.
Currently I am writing a Regency romance. Lots of research involved, more than I thought before I started. Luckily I enjoy doing research.
By the way, I went to see South Pacific today. Teddy Tahu Rhodes played Emile. He was incredible; such a rich, warm voice, not to mention powerful. Gyton Grantley as Luther Billis was wonderful. If you’re interested you can check out the show at http://www.southpacificmusical.com.au/
